Click for the new 2006 Schedule AMS Expeditions CLICK AMS has lead over 100 expeditions to major peaks in Alaska and South America and is a licensed concessionaire of Denali National Park and Preserve. Under the tutelage of our founders, Brian and Diane Okonek, and over the course of more than 60 Denali climbs, we have established a reputation for excellence on the most demanding mountains. Routes are carefully chosen for their aesthetic quality and suitable climbing terrain. Expeditions are goal-oriented with carefully thought out climbing strategies to summit, but also focus on the goal of increasing our skills as mountaineers. Members are chosen for their prior climbing experience, physical and mental stamina, and attitude. AMS expeditions are the final exam in a climbing progression that builds strong and capable mountaineers who are prepared to climb the world's great mountains. Enrollment To reserve a space on an expedition, please read and fill out an application and attach a non-refundable deposit of $500. Upon acceptance, we will send you a detailed course description, equipment list, and travel/logistics information. You will also receive medical, release, and travel forms to fill out and return to us. Resumes describing your climbing background are required for advanced courses and expeditions.
