AMS offers visitors to Alaska the opportunity to live for one to three days on the glaciers of Alaska's most impressive mountain ranges. We offer treks in two areas: Denali National Park's Alaska Range, and the Matanuska Glacier in Chugach State Park. Both areas are spectacular.
The glacier trek is a completely unique, off-the-beaten-path experience for adventure travelers. During the glacier trek, we hold classes on specific mountaineering skills, tour the glacier to soak in the big mountains, eat well-prepared meals, and sleep in expedition tents.
Since glacier treks are arranged on a custom basis, we can accommodate nearly any goal of the participant; whether it's relaxing and soaking up the views, climbing a peak, or learning crevasse rescue, we can make it happen. You will be rejuvenated and awed by spending time living on a glacier surrounded by some of the world's most beautiful mountains
